Adam Quarles, ARNP
Adam grew up in Washington State and has lived most of his life in Tacoma. After volunteering at a critical access hospital in West Africa, he realized he had an interest in intensive care medicine. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Washington State University in 2004. While working as a Registered Nurse in Spokane, Washington, he completed his master’s degree in nursing at Gonzaga University in 2009. He began working in critical care and pulmonary medicine in Spokane. Wanting an even broader experience in critical care medicine, he moved to Southwest Florida in 2013, where he helped re-structure their APP ICU practice. In 2016 he was asked to help create the Advanced Practice Provider group for PAs and NPs at four of Tacoma’s local Virginia Mason ICUs. He has been working in Tacoma ever since. Most recently, he was honored to join the team at Cascade Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Tacoma General Hospital. In his off time, he is usually busy outside with his projects and recently finished building a dovetail cabin on his property. He loves being with his wife, his family and friends, and can often be found sitting in the sun with his two dogs.
