Long Tran, MD
Dr. Tran is a founding member of Cascade Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry with Honors at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Prior to medical school, Dr Tran worked as a medicinal organic chemist at Novartis Research Institute specializing in novel anticancer organic compounds. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rutgers Medical School) in Piscataway, NJ in 2003. He started his surgery residency at UT Southerwestern in Dallas, TX but finished his residency at the University of Vermont. He obtained his Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Hartford Hospital. He is driven to provide excellent evidence-based care that is tailored to each individual patient. Outside of work, Dr. Tran enjoys cooking, bread baking, and international travels.
