Dr. Shah is a founding member of Cascade Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Dr. Shah is Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Shah received a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. He then graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Medicine, where her was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and received numerous academic and teaching awards. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, and subsequently completed his Surgical Critical Care fellowship at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. He stayed on as faculty at the University of Maryland Medical Center, the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and the Baltimore VA Medical Center for eight years before moving to the Pacific Northwest. His interests include complex abdominal wall reconstruction, robotic general and acute care surgery, and surgical resident education. Outside of work, Dr. Shah enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.
